@darrenking “So it shall be written, so it shall be done!”
“If you build it, they will come!” -

I think Marcel has blocked me!

@darrenking I think I’ll go with the hidden under the fretboard method as I haven’t managed to make an invisible joint on anything else yet. And you’re right, hit it hard enough and both styles will break.

@darrenking I notice that you have the scarf joint under the fretboard rather than on the headstock. I’m in two minds as to which method is best. I can see that with one method the joint is hidden under the… Read more»

These are the little switches I mentioned and I’ve got four more boxes of them!! @darrenking – Are they momentary or latching switches? Either way that will make a very cool Kill Switch…I’ll send you an email!

John L replied to the topic "New Electric BUild" – 4 years, 10 months ago
@darrenking Wow! They look like great little switches. Are they suitable for guitar building projects? If so, will you send them to some of your guitar building friends? 😁

@darrenking That is some good advice and a logical sounding approach to soldering. I must become more proficient at soldering, it really is my weak spot.

@darrenking Yeah thanks Darren. I watched this video that Mark did and he suggested using 80, 120 and 240 grits, then finish it off on a diamond stone. I think your advice on buying a diamond stone to keep my… Read more»

@darrenking I’d be interested in a full size paper print. Iv’e been drawing my next guitar using SolidWorks, but I only have an A4 printer. Can you work from a dxf file, or what would be best for you.
