Hi @somethingnicer,
That looks about right, but I’m no expert. Nitro is a nice thin finish, but is very easy to sand through!
I think @boo is the expert in finishing here. I’m sure he can give a few tips -

You could stay with 2 pickups and use a push pull as a pickup selector. But as you’ve gone back to your original plan, all good! -
