@robin I put mine in for crunchy stuff and take them out for chocolate, ice cream etc 🤣

@boo You could hollow it out a bit then add some sort of top. Between gym sessions of course lol

@robin should’ve got him to take them all out! I had endless grief from mine since I was 5 or so lol

Perfect to stick oak on and carve! 🤣

Bunch of thin coats of thinned down oil based polyurethane with sanding between various coats then onto microcystalline wax. I use a foam pad on the drill to buff.
 

@jamesbisset if a replacement fretboard isn’t a problem then yeh, I’d go with getting it off even if it got ruined.
 
With factory fretboards I’ve managed to remove a couple but titebond seems proper tight! Lol

@tv101 My secret is mighty sight glasses and pilot holes, if I use them I can get them super straight every time 🤣

@jamesbisset 13 – 16k is generally where I like with a bridge humbucker. I find wide variations though from muddy to superb singing clarity in that range.

Got the holes drilled correctly this time and first thin coat of finish on, tomorrow I’ll sand back taking out little marks that I missed before.
