@peter-c-f Braces are usually tuned by holding the plate very lightly till it rings. Some people can tell the pitch by ear but normal humans use a guitar tuner with a built in microphone Removing wood will raise the pitch… Read more»

I’ve got the last transverse brace glued across the break now and its looking okay. I’ll get the X braces on tomorrow, that’ll put some strength into it and I’ll can breath again. -

@peter-c-f There is nothing wrong with slow builds. Hopefully one can avoid some mistakes if there is time to think things through before doing the steps.
