Thanks this is useful, I thought that shaping the veneer before gluing would be needed and didn’t think of a heat gun.

Staining worked out ok

There is a specific product for sealing MDF, it’s very runny and is just called MDF sealer. I found it on a google search. Need to clean the brushes immediately as they go hard.

Not at all JB is the one working on veneer and he’s got more experience than the rest of us. Experts are for,Ed in the white heat of experimentation. Cue the degree course in veneering
