Ive thought about doing things a different way, like doing a two wood headstock say rosewood and ebony instead of a plain one colour. Tried it once it worked ok. -

I did try sanding sealer before cutting and it helped. This is a really cheap piece of wood soft and powdery. I’m sure it will be much better on a quality piece.

I didn’t explain myself very well again. I meant to raise my work bench up by a lot maybe a foot or more as I’m 6 ft 1 inch tall and working on a folding bench kills my back. -

Thanks I’m glad I tried this as a practice first before using the expensive wood. I’ve never used a Dremel before and I’m thinking of ideas to raise the work height. -
