RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

@wayne_f Good video thanks for sharing it with us. I’ve had that fret problem in the past where it goes down on one side. Could it be that the barbed part it too wide for the slot perhaps. I got round...

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

@markbailey That was probably part of the problem yesterday. Today I had better support but was still having trouble. I figured out what was wrong and how it happened and then fixed the problem. I'll...

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

Perhaps pull it out and try again? I had already pulled it out once before taking that picture. @wayne_f Ahhhhh….. Yes, pull it out carefully and clean the slot again. I would perhaps cut another fr...

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

@tej @robin @cheesewhisk @boo Fret slots are definitely clean and deep enough. Looking closer at the fret now, it appears to be on an angle. The side that's facing the heel end looks like it's farther...

Then I attempted to start putting the frets in. I couldn't even get the first one to go in all the way. The slots were filed before the attempt but that didn't seem to help enough. @wayne_f Did you ...

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

@wayne_f I would agree with @tej there, it looks like the ends are in, so the slot must be deep enough. I'm assuming that you're hammering them in and not pressing them. If you're hammering while su...

@tej There is an easy way to get broken screws out, it’s debated a lot LG guitar forums. Fing a small metal tube just the diameter of the screw (hobby shop or Amazon). File some sharp teeth at the end...

@tej Cheap screws and bolts made of soft metal are a common problem. If you’re getting into building a lot it’s worth buying bags of spare machine head screws and pick up bolts. They’re not expensive ...

@tej One thing that’s often forgotten is that some screws get thicker along the shaft where there is no thread so thats the part the hole needs to be drilled for. The thread part will find it’s own wa...

RE: Low output

@tej Are the pick ups a matched set or did you buy them separate from different brands. It might be that the impedance on both is different.
