You were right Mark. Side dots only. Frets next. Been experimenting with water based dyes on scraps from the original body wedges but don't think the maple will "pop" like the really flamed guitars do...

Amazing work - When we made ours I think we did the same thing (use a radius dish like we do on the back) - it was a few years ago! The soundboard should be flexible enough to conform to the shape.
