I’ve been busy! carved the f-hole and the shape on the top, drilled all the holes needed, including the ones inside, still a few jobs to do but it’s getting close.

hollowed it out, on the real one I’ll do this first before gluing on the wings, it’d be much easier, it’s now a lot lighter weight and sounds pretty good when you tap it.

I made some templates/patterns today, for hollowing out the wings.

perhaps you can help me decide? should I make a normal control cavity then rout out the top half of the left body wing, or should I hollow out the entire thing? I still want an access plate on the…   Read more»

the top is almost done, I used some hot hide glue to glue on a couple of extra pieces to extend the width, used a rub joint technique, I think carving the neck is going to be next, been looking…   Read more»

made a template then routed out the jack socket, I’ve got the control cavitiy to rout out next, just trying to concentrate on one thing at a time.
