This is My Favourite Song For This Moment.......
Coming along very nicely @tyreman. It'll be very interesting to see how this prototype stands the test of time. ๐ถ๐๐ธ๐
Then I planed and scraped the binding flush with the body.... Then a wee bit of sanding..... .... and a wee bit more..... ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then I had to get the tape off again. A gentle heat with the heat gun.... ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
Then glued the binding on. First to the top ..... And then to the back.... ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then I routed out the binding channel on the top and the back. ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
Next I prepared the binding for both the top and the back. I then held it in place in the mould. ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then planed and scraped it flush with the soundboard surface. ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
Then glued it on. ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then made the purfling for the top edges. Gone for simple black/white/black. ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
Next I routed out the purfling channel on the soundboard. ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then a wee bit of sanding. ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
Then plane and scrape it flush with the sides. ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then cutting it to size. ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
Then glued it in place. ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then I made the end graft from a cut off from the neck blank and two pieces of ebony veneer. ๐๐ถ๐๐ธ
A wee bit of work on the end graft. Once it was marked out I gouged out the channel using chisels and "Grannies Tooth" ๐ธ๐๐ถ๐
Then I used the router and binding jig with a flush cut bit to trim the back and soundboard flush with the sides. ........ ๐ถ๐ธ๐๐
Then I glued on the soundboard using the go-bar deck again. ๐ถ๐ธ๐๐
Then I marked out and cut out the notches to accommodate the braces of the soundboard. ......... ๐๐๐ธ๐ถ
