More clamping. I must get some new and decent clamps. I’ll leave the glue to dry overnight and post the results tomorrow.

What I have realised is that routing the headstock to thickness is done from the back of the headstock, not to the front. This also creates the volute.

Yep, I’ve just got to mark it all out on the blank before I commit to routing. I may do a fine skim off the front face with the router too before I route the back. I need to mark the nut and volute in the right places. I have a neck to take references from. Any tips Mark please or do you trust me to work it all out?

I can pretty much do it exactly to these dimensions. I intend to make an almost exact copy of this neck. It is a cheap Chinese neck (£20 eBay) with the scarf joint under the fretboard, not good. I will obviously put the joint in the other place, as you have taught us.
