I’m not sure if there is a definitive answer to this question, but as far as I know Dreadnought and Jumbo models are better for flat picking. I play finger style myself so I’ve often thought that a 12 fret to the body model with a shorter scale would be easier as frets from the nut to the 4th will be closer together. This is where most finger style playing happens. 
if you are a builder I would suggest signing up for Mark’s Premium Membership and you can discuss design options with him. 
if you are looking to buy a ready made guitar I would suggest an OM model, although you really have to try one before you buy and see if it suits you. The bigger the body the more bass sound it will have so it depends on what you like.

 

Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.
