Probably a Telecaster. But I didn’t do that, I created an original design and built it instead. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’m crazy though so that explains why I did it. 🤣🤣🤣

If you’re on Facebook you can search for either Gary’s Guitar Shop or Glasscock Guitars. You’ll see the guitar I created. I started with kits then to matched bodies & necks, and now scratch building. I’ll post an update on what’s happened in the last 6 months since I introduced my design to the world.

I'd suggest following the @markbailey course for your first build, its all laid out for you step by step.

I would advice the same. Although my first one was a telecaster too 😀

Following Mark’s course really in the best advice.

The *sort* of guitar you build doesn’t really matter so much.  The first build is more about learning the process and techniques.  Understanding what order to do things, and why that order is important.  And enjoying the results so much that you decide to make another and another and another.

Keep it reasonably simple to give yourself the best chance of success.  You can make the next one more complicated, or a more adventurous design.  And each one after that can be more complicated and more adventurous.

Few people make only one guitar.  They either abandon the first project (perhaps because they aimed too high for the first one), or they finish the first, and enjoy it so much, they just keep on going.

🙂
