Estimable Member I did some test cuts with the router for the truss rod slot and I wanna make sure I'm cutting the right sized slot. Mark calls for 7/16" which is what I got, but is there supposed to be so much gap on the sides? (see picture)

@somethingnicer I think that'll just be for the fatter end part, the main part of the rod will be a 1/4 inch. Personally I use a 1/4 inch for the full length including acces then I go over the thicker part and access with a 9mm bit. I use the round nose bits too to match the shape of the rod. Rods go in nice and snug.
