Does anyone know where I can find a 12.7mm x 12.7mm top bearing router bit (1/4" shank)? I can't seem to find one anywhere ๐Ÿ™

@robin ah that could do it. I'm not actually sure where this bit is needed, I'm just going by the essential tools list pdf. However; this should be close enough I guess. Thanks.

You're likely to use that trimming the first few cuts on a body blank to a templated shape or a cavity from a template.

Trend do a 12.7 x 12.7 @nortski or you can get one from Stewmac...... but they refer to it as 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch.ย

Ok, silly question. Is there a difference between a profile cutter and a trimmer? I'm looking on Trend's website and they use they words on different router bits.

@nortski
I think they're pretty much the same but they tend to refer to the straight cutters as trimmers and the shaped cutters as profilers. In saying that if you're following a profile with a straight cutter then it's a profiler. 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️
