Hi all, I’m putting in an order for tools and noticed that the electric guitar truss rod cutter that is listed for sale is a 1/4” wide bit, whereas an 11mm bit is used in the course materials. Can anyone confirm 11mm is the correct bit needed for the elec guitar kit which includes a two way slim line truss rod?

If it is an 11mm bit that I need, any reason this couldn’t also be used to thickness the headstock? Mark uses a 16mm cutter in the course materials.

I’m a complete newb so apologies if either or both of these are silly questions.

thanks

Blake

Hi Blake - Yes and yes 🤠

The truss rod has been discontinued by Gotoh (insert swear word)...The new one fits into a 6mm or 1/4" slot

You can use any size to thickness headstock - but bigger is quicker.

Sounds like you are getting your head round it - good luck!

Measure twice, cut once...
