Tried a waterbased laquer finish over stain on the top of my 2nd build. Followed the instructions and let it cure for almost five weeks before finish sanding and polishing.

I used 7 layers of laquer in total, and it was building up quite well.

Of course I sanded through in a couple of spots almost immediately and ruined the whole thing. 😥 😠 No pictures, but now I have sanded it back and will try to stain it again (so it matches the headstock). Will use oil finish this time.
