Today in my 37th birthday. I got to meet and work on the collection of guitars of my 1st client. (a paid job).

Phil - a British guitar player living near Zurich has a collection of 40 something guitars...

Did setup to 3 of them... Barely scratching the surface of it...

It feels awesome!!!

Happy birthday Peter, it looks like you've had a birthday you'd have paid for as a treat! Many happy returns!

Cheers

Darren

Happy birthday for yesterday, and congrats on spending it in a great way.

I remember my 37th birthday.

But only very vaguely.

Thanks guys.

It is one of the most original ways I've spent my b-day.

And it all happened spontaneous. I saw an advertisement of this company as a management and performance guitar company. So I figured they work with artists who might need tech. Wrote them something like "just by any chance do you guys need a guitar tech." a month later I got an answer that in fact they were looking for someone to maintain guitars. We organised the meeting. Phill - the person running it happens to be a great person. He was impressed with the stuff I did and offered me not only to take care of the rest of the more expensive items in his collection but to start working with his students. Teaching basics on how to restring and do actions etc. Stuff that we think people know but actually many don't.

So long story short - infront of me there is a possibility of long term relationship with this guy and his resources...

Funny enough... Mark mentioned in the live on Wednesday  his first gig was connected with Roby Williams... Phill happens to be a part of the circle of musicians Roby Williams tours with...

I feel extremely lucky with this adventure - guitar building/repair. So far everything in this direction happens really quickly and in the direction I want. I guess I'm on the right path
