I played this song two years ago when I was a one night substitute bassist for a surf band. A nice bunch of guys, but not my favourite music.

I’ll post this here too as @marcel reminded me of an artist that makes superb use of a trem on an electric guitar. Michael Casswell was a hugely underrated guitar player and should have been more prominent. RIP.

My First Gig was

Hawkwind or Camel at Preston Guild Hall or maybe Steve Hackett (Solo)...can’t remember it was that long ago although I still remember the weed smell?!

My memory of Van Halen is playing bar billiards most nights, to “Jump” on the pub jukebox ....

But, back to the music ... I give you this wonderful, talented, special human being

I interviewed the lady in 1983 (IIRC).  If you are in awe of your interviewee, there’s a risk that your interview will be awful.  I was.  

Two songs of the moment ...only because I was teaching a friend and why I missed to today’s livestream...🤫we are meant to be in lockdown....FFS🙄

I ran the student / campus radio station that year @russ and, as a big fan, abused my privileged position to claim the comp tickets.

JA was supposed to “never do interviews” back then, but I blagged my way past the minders and sat down with her, chatting for 20-30 mins.  Completely unprepared (because she never did interviews!) and fairly embarrassing as I recall.  
But she was totally calm, kind and patient.
