Seems like our musical tastes are fairly closely aligned @Russ. 

My workshop ipod is mainly full of fairly noisy stuff, of mostly 70's vintage.  All part of the fun of spending time out there making stuff.  Mainly sawdust.

I have quite a broad taste when it comes to music. My cd-collection (yes I know I'm an old man) literally goes from Abba to Zappa.

@tv101 @marcel. 70's music is my favourite Tony but like Marcel I like a wide variety of music. I'm also still a CD and vinyl man........ all burnt into my Sony Walkman MP3 player.

Nothing wrong with CDs @Marcel.  I remember buying my first batch in the late 80s (it was a buy 6, get one free deal), and I'm still buying them today.  It's still my preferred format for proper listening.  MP3s are great for convenience, but - to my ears - there's a definite loss of quality and a definite loss of experience listening to that format.

Bit disappointed with your collection range though.  Mine too starts with Abba, but goes all the way through to ZZ Top.  (It skips Zappa though).

I bought an NW-A45 for commuting use (those were the days!) when I realised how much quality I was missing just using the phone.  Even noticeable on a (noisy) train.

They are from a music programme on Dutch tv called "Vrije Geluiden" (Free Sounds) which ran from 2001 until the end of december 2019.

This probably has more meaning if you lived through the mid-70s and played a cover of this in a school band ...
