Not to mention it’s been made by my biggest guitar influence not just in making but @markbailey gave me back my playing mojo in the process.
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again.
Doing my first Bailey BYOG course (2007) changed my life.
I had zero practical skills before stepping into that workshop. Mark gave me some tuition, some encouragement, some confidence, and a new way of life.
A much better way of life, more practical, more creative, more satisfying.
More recently, the Bliss sessions have given me the motivation to try making “music” too. I’m starting a long way behind a lot of people, but I’ve finally started.

👍🏻
I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
@deej that’s great to hear, guitars are awesome for a great many reasons, glad you’ve got your playing mojo back 🙂

@tv101 not sure what the bliss sessions are but glad you’ve started making music. Always good fun to do, my advice in that area is to make music that makes you happy, if anyone else likes it, that’s a bonus 🙂
So looking forward to recording a track with my first Tej built guitar once I get going!!!

Doesn’t mean I’m any good though 😬

I’ve tried not to worry too much about being “good enough”

@tej The best feeling in the work playing you own made guitar on a record or Live. To be honest anytime.
Without sounding a bore this is the first recording of my own guitar to the first build....I’m always busy

How’s the DAW adventure going @TV101 ?
Good enough is sometimes enough though. Being better helps make the final result better.

Better @tej I suspect ✊🏻
I got a message back in the day from @markbailey on that vid about the templates saying it looked like the workshop. There wasn’t as many on here (actually I think it was using Udemy before he had his own site).
Having the pleasure to go to his workshop and use the same sort of templates was also great and a testimony to his teaching online and/or in person.
Making the templates was as much fun as making the guitar. I really look forward to seeing your build.

I really look forward to seeing your build.
@deej I’ll start a thread at some point for updates, would have already but given most people here have presumably done what I’m soon to do I didn’t actually expect anyone to want to see another build of the same (ish) guitar!

Do it @tej....I can GUARANTEE everyone on here (people who have done it AND/or seen it before) look forward to everyone’s builds.

I would agree with you, we all want to see what others are doing even if it’s the same model. The live streams gave me an incentive to start building again after a quiet spell of not doing much.
Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.
Yeah @tej of course we want to see your Bandsman build but not only that, we want to see you building it. 😉
Practice on scrap...
unboxing vid tomorrow
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon .... it's tomorrow already.

Even though we might all end up with the same (ish) guitar, our journeys - and adventures (aka "learning opportunities") - along the way are often different.
How we do things, which tools we choose to use and how we use them, our own little techniques and tricks - they're all different.
I've learned loads from watching other people's builds, and seeing things that they do which prompt thoughts and questions about the way I might do things.
I commented on another thread that it's also useful to have a record of what and how you've done things. In builds and years ahead you might just encounter something that makes you think "how did I do that before". If you've got a photo record, you've got something to look back at.
