I don't really follow individual guitarists that closely, so my preferences are more for how they work in the band (assuming that they're not solo artists!).
If pushed, I'd say Lindsey Buckingham, both for what he did in Fleetwood Mac but even more for his solo work. Watching him perform, playing clever and complex guitar parts whilst singing too - very impressive.

Hi @siddharthkmehta.
For me it has to be Mr Ritchie Blackmore. He captivated me at the age of 14 and I've been mesmerized ever since. I would argue that he has been the biggest influence for most rock guitarists that came after him.

When I attempt to come up with one right now I can’t because as soon as one name pops in my head a little voice says, “hold on, what about _________”?” 🤦🏼♂️
There are sooooooooo many I have admired since I was turned on to rock n roll by my cousin when I was 5 or 6. I still have the 45 she gave me. The 45 was The Beatles - I Wanna Hold Your Hand and it would have been 1965 or ‘66.
What about Robin Trower, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Santana, Tom Morello, uh, uh, uh, oh no, brainfreeze.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am by far my favourite guitar player.
If only I was as good as Jimi or Eddy 🙂
