@steveadams

Great video, the neck looks very professional. Top marks for filling the gap with a wood patch and not dust/glue filler. I think you’re being a bit ambitious with the star inlays it could all go horribly wrong and end up with the filler being a different colour to the wood. I try to scribe round the inlay with a sharp point and then cut with a craft knife to remove as little wood as possible, so if the colour is different it doesn’t show as badly. You could try a drop of black superglue on the underside of the fretboard which overhangs the neck and let it dry. It will give you an idea of the colour match.

Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.

The last words @steveadams were "watch this space".

I've been watching now for 6mths.Β  After a few weeks, I admit I got a little bored, so then I watched everything else on YouTube (in another window, obviously, so I could keep watching this space too).Β Β

Now, I've had enough of kitten videos.Β  And everything else on YouTube (don't people film some odd stuff!).

Β

So, hoping you & yours are OK, and hoping to see those star inlays sometime soon in 2023 ...

(But, I am very impressed with your determination not to rush it!!).

@koendb

well who would have thought it, how nice to know you were thinking of me....thank you

I hope everyone had a great Xmas and will have a great 2023....

So, I got off my arse and guess what? I have a new video...with my new phone it's all in lovely HD...I've decided to put it on my youtube channel again as I know there were issues with embedding videos on the forum.

I'm replying to your post and maybe should also post a new thread?

2023 the year of the Acoustic woohooo...Hope you like the video, let me know your thoughts

Cheers

Steve.
