@clinton, looking good! What wood are you using for the body?

@clinton I have been considering Poplar for my next build, I want something light for the body, and would be very interested to hear your opinions on working with it, sourcing it ( not sure where you’re based) etc.

Brian 👍😃🎸

@brie Poplar is great. Inexpensive hardwood. Mellow ring tone, stable, not heavy and a charm on your tools. It gets a bad rap but I love it. Not as hard as maple but not quite soft like basswood. Does not stain well but keeps your creativity on the go. Sanded well, does not require grain filling. Overall a 2 thumbs up. Does not disappoint.

@clinton Thanks for that, what you’ve said is pretty much as I expected and hoped. Just need to find some now!!😃 There’s one place I’ve seen it listed but currently out of stock.

Thanks again.

Brian👍😃🎸

Really nice work there, @clinton. If Prince was still around he'd have had that off you. 💜😈
