Seeing Deej's first build made me realise I never posted mine. I've been a member for ages but I'm sorry to say pretty inactive on the forum. Seeing weekly vids on youtube has made me want to be come more part of the community on here.
So if we havent spoken before Hello!
Here is my 1st build started back in early 2018. I was in two minds as to do the BYO online as I really wanted to attend at the workshop in Scotland but being in Canterbury and suffering from ill health (I'm better now btw), it wasnt really do able. I was worried that the BYO wasnt going to be as easy to follow as a workshop course, but as it turns out not the case. Since then, I've studied further, built more guitars and please to say guitar repair and building has become my main job!
Who knows maybe I'll get to do a custom build at Mark's in the future!

To be fair, Mark is quite a long way from most places. But he's a *VERY* long way from Canterbury! My last trip was a 7hr drive (and I thought that was long), but you'd probably add a couple of hours on to that.
That looks like a nicely put together guitar - setting the bar high for a first build!
And great to see someone else joining in here. Looking forward to seeing some more pics of some more guitars ...

Great build @pinneradam and nice to be a reason for you to remember to post.
The Bailey workshop Courses are some of the best experiences I’ve had, not just the build but the company of other like minded builders and the welcoming, chilled atmosphere at and with Team Bailey..thankfully it’s only 3:45-4hrs drive for me.
I’m hoping for another visit for the long awaited 335 course (@TV1010101 ? )
I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
I'm hoping to do a course sometime if they ever start again. Only about two hours for me and as long as the parking is motorbike friendly.
It really is an excellent experience @rocknroller912 - I recommend it without reservation to anyone who's got the slightest interest in guitar building.
Or just having fun in a workshop for a week!
No worries re parking your bike either.

I agree with @TV1010101 about it being a brilliant experience..
Parking the bike will be fine but carrying home your new creation may be a struggle!

Yup, I agree with him too.
Which is unusual, 'cos usually he talks complete bo**ocks and I have to completely disagree!

For me it's only 445 miles. Luckily I live close to Amsterdam airport, so it's the bus to the airport, flight to Glasgow, bus to Paisley Gilmour street and the train to Ayr. It usually takes me about 4½ to 5 hours.

Thanks @david-johnson09, I'm totally looking forward to a 335 course too!
That's 75% of the places sold - and @markbailey hasn't even prepared the course yet ...

Great, they need all the support they can moving forward. I’m sure @markbailey can knock a course out in a few weeks...

Thanks it's always good to get an opinion from someone who has been there. I'm planning a bike trip along that way in the next few days before the winter sets in.
