@jamesalexandermcmillan It might not be easy but could you leave the fretless section very slightly raised to match the height of the frets?
I don’t really know why @tv101 brought this up but obs, the 5th string that only goes halfway down the neck, is less of an issue and should be connected to the snare linkage and kazoo dampener circuit via the cymbal NAND gate. (Basic stuff TV, I’m surprised at you!) Clearly, with an instrument such as this, the jazz suppression circuit should be fitted as standard (it may even be a legal requirement!) until it can be proved superfluous, at which point an application may be made to the courts for its removal.
Cheers
Darren

@mentosik You are already a very skilled maker, I’m sure you could turn your hand to anything you put your energy into. I’m very impressed with the level of woodworking skills you have utilised in building this guitar. Wow! Very impressive sir!Â

You are the new leader! Congratulations!
@boo - you can't concede and then initiate your own re-count.
I'm going to get my GREAT lawyers onto this, and they're really TREMENDOUS, and we'll take this to the Supreme Court because it's obvious there's just been so much corruption going on here, you can't steal this competition. Â
Hah!

@tv101 I am WINNING BIGLY! Good things are happening and I will continue to lead and win by a LOT! 🤣

The half fretted guitar looks fantastic. I had only really thought about a bass but nut end for chords mainly and dusty end for single notes does lend itself to a guitar like this.Â
I’ve got a precision type neck and a bridge so I’ll get a pickup and a body from somewhere and do some experiments on a bass and then a guitar.Â
That's one heck of a first build! Much better than my first build(s)! I didn't discover Mark's teaching talents before I started, but I wish I did.
I think that you've got some serious skills, so stick with it! And sticking with the build when you think you're bamboozled is a great feeling when you get through it!
Cheers to the build, now send me some warmth from North Carolina to Canada, eh?
Hey, looks great! Glad you found my plans useful. Also, the strips on the neck are laminates not carbon fibre so you got it right! I have a version of the plans which are a lot more in depth now so if you want the newer version, just holler. Great work my friend. If you have any questions when doing future builds, just click me an email at mskguitars@gmail.com and I'll be more than happy to help. Mike Kelly - MSK Guitars. Rock on!
