Must be very satisfying@robinwhen a repair job works well.
@russΒ Β It definitely is satisfying. After cursing myself for stupid errors or accidents, I quite enjoy the "fixing things" aspect of guitar building.
@russ and @robin Something will always happen during a guitar build, itβs inevitable. There is no point being angry or upset with yourself when you make a mistake or something βaccidentallyβ happens. Fixes are part of building a guitar and learning how to deal with them comes with experience. Sometimes mistakes can happen one after the other and other times you may only have a couple of things to fix, itβs all good fun though.Β
Sometimes when I make a mess of something, instead of get stressed about it, I usually have another build on the go so Iβll go and do another job and come back and fix the mistake another time. Itβs not good to work on something when you are stressed, you can make things worse, walk away and come back the next day or do something else. Ask me how I know. 😆Β
I wouldnβt change it for the world though. Take your time and have fun, thatβs what I tell myself.Β
Make guitars, not war πβοΈπΈ
Thats the tuner holes lined up at last, all the butchery is hidden under the washers. Also reshaped the headstock a little to make the holes an equal distance from the edge and to give the D tuner knob room to turn.

A different look - I like it 👍🏻
I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
