Some factory instruments from 30 years or longer ago have this type of swirl from circular sanding or polishing that can be seen by moving around under a light. You could think of it as stage 1 relic finish which adds value apparently.

@rocknroller912  lets just say thats the effect I was aiming to achieve then.

Top job@robin, that came out great! I really like the offset shape and neck joint, the color looks fab as well! 
How does it play and sound?

Thanks @mattbeels  its sounding good, but no guitar is going to sound great with me playing it. I've still to adjust the truss rod and set the string heights so I've not played it much yet. Its moved from the hut into the house now, so I'll let it settle with string tension on it for a bit before I set it up.
