This guitar was built during a second BYO course in Mark's shop
It's a Thinline Telecaster with a twist. Quite a few twists actually....
Mahogany body with birdseye maple top and binding. The blank was a wee bit too narrow for a Tele, but Mark came up with a thin strip of figured yarrah wood, which brought the blank to size.
Birdseye maple set neck with rosewood fingerboard.
Gotoh tuners and bridge
Bareknuckles Stormy Monday pickups with coilsplit
This guitar oozes old fashioned Rock 'n Roll..... Play the intro to Johnny B Goode on this guitar and you'll be duckwalking all over the place......
I will see if I can rustle up some building pics from my dusty archive!
Measure once, cut straight away and maybe you're lucky......
Very nice. I love the Birdseye Maple and binding, that’s something else I haven’t done yet. Top job Edwin.
Make guitars, not war 🌍✌️🎸
Thanks, John! I hadn't either.... Bit of a palaber, but I had excellent instructions!
Measure once, cut straight away and maybe you're lucky......
Great job Edwin
I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
Thnx!! Still thinking about sanding the oil off and giving it a spray job with 2k high gloss, just like my first Bailey BYO. It will have to wait until a nice spring day though. I'm spraying outdoors and the weather in Holland is sh*te at this moment. Plenty of time to think it over.......
