After listening to Mark on Wednesday I thought I would post pictures of one of my latest builds. This is Bosnian flamed maple back and sides with Sitka spruce top, Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard. Ebony head stock veneer, binding and ebony bridge. Rosette and purfling are David Dyke style pieces. Its fitted with an MiSi Acoustic Motif under saddle condenser pickup. Tuners are Gotoh SG381's.
Hope you like it

Wow, looks awesome!
I really like the "stitching” around the headstock.
Great job!
Practice on scrap...
Thanks Matt still learning. I used that stitching on the front binding and on the rosette as well but it's subtle and not easy to spot on the photos David Dyke stuff.

Love the flamed maple back and sides, and the contrast with the binding.
How did you find the shaping of those pieces? From Mark's comments, I thought that bending those materials would have been "tricky". Did you have many problems?

Thanks@tv101. After Marks comments yesterday I decided to post this. I've made two with cutaways but decided to try this and a Mahogany one without the cutaway to try make it a little easier. Sides still around 2mm and took my time on a side bending iron.

Thanks for that @boo but don't aspire to my work you need to aspire to Marks. I'm still learning and have a long list of things to do better or differently on the next build. I like the dovetail joints and still haven't done one that doesn't need "finiting" as Mark calls it.
I can highly recommend the online courses its well worth spending what is so little to gain so much of his knowledge.

Thanks Mike, I have been a premium member from the start but have only been interested in the electric courses so far, it’s just my thing. Every so often something catches my eye with the acoustic stuff so I know one day I will have a go, it is inevitable. If the acoustic course is as good as the electric course (I’ve no reason to doubt it) then I’m sure there will be a lot of knowledge and know how to gain. 👍
