I use a router table for similar jobs, but I doublesticky tape the object to a larger chunk of wood or MDF, just to be safe….

Hi Boo! I use the Avis brand, but I dunno if it’s available outside of the Netherlands. I suspect any non-el cheapo brand will do. And yes, I mean white spirit.

I posted something about wipe-on poly earlier on the forum, but I’ll be happy to repeat myself 🙂 It’s extremely simple to make your own: 1 part quality polyurethane laquer (oil-based, not the water-based stuff…) and 1 part mineral spirits…. Read more»

Nah…. no problem at all. 14 mm is even closer to vintage Fender specs then 15 mm…. You’ll be OK!

I must say, this is the first project I am absolutely, completely 99,5% satisfied with…. (there’s always something, right?)
I think I’ll call it The Vaccinator and inlay a seringe in the truss rod cover…..
