Think it needs a darker body to contrast - perhaps a play with Photoshop or something like to try ideas out?

My Firebird neck is about 2.5mm thicker than normal - it feels fine - I worked on the basis that with a through neck if you make it too thin you are really screwed but too fat and you can remove more ...

I have standardised on 1/4” router bits so that they fit all of my routers and I don’t need to swap collets on routers - just another thing to slow you down!

I have a Von Haus router (lots of other names) with my wide Perspex base attached - it was an open box example and it was only £40 as the new ones were about £60 at the time.

Yes - agree with choice of B - option A leaves you in the same situation as an amp with a guitar lead plugged in - buzzzzzzzeeeee!
