@koendb I hope your build goes well. Planing by hand is tricky as one deep tear out can ruin a piece. I mostly use a scraper plane for thicknessing which takes longer but doesn’t tear.

@cheesewhisk someone bought me a set of these after I drilled through on another non guitar project courtesy of slipping flag, use them for any job on nice wood if a hand drill is involved!

To come back to this, I checked the intonation and it's literally perfect. 'Drill through the entire guitar' 10/10 would do again.
