@steveadams Oh Steve that's a bit of a bummer. Sorry I can't give any advice but I've got every faith that you are going to come up with a solution. The bracing does look great. Keep it up. 🙂...

RE: TOTAL DISASTER...AGGGHHHH...PART 9

@steveadams sorry things have gone wrong for you. One thought that crossed my mind is that you could cut/route (can’t recall what you did in the first place) out what’s there and replace it with a pre...

@steveadams I feel your pain. I’m trying sound hole inlays with a dremel after years of using hand cutters and am not having success either.

RE: TOTAL DISASTER...AGGGHHHH...PART 9

Ugg @steveadams. That sucks. I've never used the rubber backed stuff but I assume it would need to be damn near flush with the top going in so you didn't go through the decorative part. If it was me, ...

RE: Installing frets

I have some old frets off a knackered guitar so I’ll experiment with different glue like I should have done before doing it on my actual build 😬

RE: Installing frets

I have thick, medium, thin and very thin superglue…… For fret filling I use the thin - the thinner it is the easier it ‘wicks’ - that also means that it can go everywhere…….

RE: Installing frets

@frocesterbill ok so this is something I’ve clearly missed, had no idea that you could get different viscosity super glue. I’ll know for next time!

RE: Installing frets

@Tej I use thin superglue and only add small drops - the drops vanish down the slot, usually by the time you get to the end of the fretboard you can go back to the start…..

RE: Installing frets

Superglue works - you do need to apply it in 3 or 4 passes on end side then when dry do the other - too much at a time and it will run down the fretboard and then it takes more effort to clean up. How...

@rocknroller912 I might need to do this as the fret board has ever so slightly snuck beneath the body. Alternatively I could just taper the very top outside edges of the pocket to match so it looks mo...
