Posted by: @rathius I’m quite jealous of you guys that get to just “walk up” to Mark’s shop for a visit. I’ll have to build and sell several before I get to experience the Scottish countryside. @rat...

RE: Hello from Ayrshire, Scotland!

@poco7 that’s a great looking design - impressed you’re set up to build it at home. Lots of great support on here - inspiring me to build the design I did with Mark last week!

Welcome to the forum @roddy, you’ll love it here! That shot of you at the bench is great, it’s a view the rest of us haven’t seen for quite a while as Mark hasn’t been doing vids for some time now. Pe...

RE: 🎶🎸 Your Favourite Song In This Moment 🎸🎶

Stuck in the house after tripping over a pot hole and injuring my hand and found this . Decided it’s my next song to learn now that live music has started again.

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

To clarify, I bought (from StewMac) medium/high fret wire as opposed to medium/medium. This means that not only is the crown higher but also the tang is longer.

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

@Wayne_F @robinSomehow that never occurred to me. I could add maybe 1/4" of height and that would probably take care of it. Thank you. I've had a lot of help and advice from this group, I'm glad to ...

RE: Jigs, patterns, and lines on paper

@poco7 That's awesome that you found someone not too far who could cut you a blank that's more than big enough. The one I ordered was advertised as 4X4 but it's actually 4-1/16 thick X 3-7/8 wide. Oh ...

@poco7 Try printing to A4 but with your printer set to "print actual size" , it may be set at "print to fit page" and upsetting the scale.

RE: Gouged Neck and thickness tolerance question?

The neck is far from trashed - there's plenty of time for that later... After the neck is carved there is normally only about 3-4mm of wood left under the truss rod at the thinnest point: If the truss...
