Thanks for taking the time to tell us how you go about making your own pickups, thats interesting stuff. Do you experiment with different windings to get different sounds?

Thats all looking good. If you’re not happy with the string height, why not recess the bridge by the thickness of the plate to make it flush with the body, that would give you bit of room for adjustment.

@somethingnicer You’re right to focus on keeping the scale length correct  And yes you can shorten the fretboard to the number of frets you want it to be. Your drawing looks fine to me, maybe just double check the tuner…   Read more»
