Looks like we’ve got some competition
I’m not planning on making a habit of it. But Joe did mention a mandolin that he thinks is beyond repair, sounds like a challenge to me.

@rocknroller912 If the plates are 1.5mm thick then I would put some protection on the soundboard, like thick plastic and lever them off with a chisel. Old adhesive shouldn’t be that strong to resist very much. Words fail me for… Read more»

Thanks for all that information, I don’t see any name on the banjo at all. I’m waiting for screws to arrive to put the tuners back on, then I’ll have another look at it. -

Just a thought on using the wrench method, rather than hammering it off, maybe use the wrench as a lever. -

The other option would be to cut the handle off and make a new one. But why do want to remove the handles if they’re on solid anyway. - Load More
