I agree with @markbailey you have sanded and/or polished through the lacquer. I know Mark said paint/lacquer should be thin but this is ridiculous! 😊 ...
@markbailey This is a short video to explain what Barcoat is. Good live stream today, thanks to you both as usual.
Hey @deej how are you doing? Are you getting much time for guitar building at the moment? I’m not, I’m decorating the house.
I’ll post this here too as @marcel reminded me of an artist that makes superb use of a trem on an electric guitar. Michael Casswell was a hugely under...
@marcel Michael Casswell’s use of the trem in his playing is sublime. He is missed. RIP

@eddie6string I think I will stick with my router after hearing your story. Well done with the repair though and I like the veneer too. Thanks for fla...

I hope this video review helps other people make their mind up about this jig, it’s very good and worth the investment.
Yep! This has sparked something in me, I’m gonna try it soon. I love these sessions. 🤘
The scale length template that you insert into the jig, houses the fretboard blank, using NEC tape (not the masking tape trick!) 🤣 The scale length...
Next was to check the saw (Crimson Guitars fret saw) for square. I used a small engineers’ square on all four sides.
