Hello all.
I wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
I'm Pete from London and was gifted a premium membership from my girlfriend today. Looking forward to watching all the courses and building along with Mark.
The Electric guitar kit is in the post and can't wait to start!
@whyte.
Welcome Pete. Enjoy the ride. There's a lot of good people and great advice around here. Keep us posted on your journey.
Cheers,
Russ

🗝️ "Life's what you make it"🗝️
@whyte Hello Pete, welcome to the forum and a life changing experience. Prepare for skill building, for mistakes to be made, for solutions to be found, for the highs and lows, and feeling the ultimate buzz when you strike out some chords on your first guitar built by your own hand (and the other one).
When you need help or have any questions, come here to the forum and we’ll try not to make things worse for you. Joking aside, you’ll find plenty of help here, whether it’s from us fellow members and peers or the grand master Jedi himself @markbailey
Gather your tools, draw your plans, always measure everything at least twice before cutting any wood, take your time and have fun building your guitar.
Upload some pictures when your kit arrives. Exciting times eh?
Rock n Roll 🤘😜🤘🎸
Cheers.
Boo.

@whyte Hey there Pete and welcome to the coolest forum around, have fun!
Practice on scrap...
Welcome Pete @whyte. Post some progress pictures of your journey and any questions, even the ones you think are too silly to ask (ps... there are no silly questions), post in the forums. This group of people is fantastic.
Welcome @whyte, what a great gift. Enjoy the course, it's definitely worth watching through before you start to make sawdust. This community is such a large part of the process, they've helped me through some 'learning opportunities' on my first build and I don't know what I would have done without them.
Hi @cheesewhisk, yes. I am making my way through the Design course first. Going to follow the Bailey style for my first guitar. I like the design and it'll be easier to follow along with. Then, I can go 'crazy'. 🤣
But I think it'll be a case of each new build tries something new and just half a degree more complicated than the last.
@whyte Welcome Pete, strongly suggest you marry your girlfriend, if you lock that in now before you fill the walls with guitars it’s more likely she’ll stay 😉😋
Looking forward to seeing your build progress, enjoy!
