Someone just asked me what my "favourite Beatles track" is.

How can you have a favourite Beatles track?  The variety is too wide, the quality too deep, for there to be just ONE track that stands above the rest.

I'd say the same applies for the Beach Boys - although perhaps not the variety bit so much.

Not better, different, but brilliant. Remember this song was written when the usual pop song was verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus.

I am quite good at liking music with no guitars. This dutch band from the late seventies/early eighties had no guitarist or bassist. This song was the only (modest) hit single.

My favourite song for today. Well, it's two songs actually. I was lucky enough to see him perform at the North Sea Jazz Festival in The Haegue in 1985. Couldn't believe what I saw and heard.
