It's nearly Thursday again ... I miss Bliss when it doesn't happen!  Thursday's just aren't right without it.

Though Wednesdays and Saturdays haven't been nearly as much fun these last few months either.

I'm spending my evening listening to old John Peel shows (the 10-midnight evening shows) from the 70s instead.  Ahhhh ... brings back the memories!!

The first one, nice and early before most people had tuned in.  The second one at the end, when most people had tuned out and gone to bed (or wherever).

Going to miss those Bliss sessions, and the opportunity / encouragement to learn some songs properly, and play and record and mix them too.  My first efforts were - with hindsight - "enthusiastic".  Amazingly, they improved with a little practice (vocals particularly) and a little knowledge (mixing the various tracks together).  I also realised how poor my timing was - trying to match the various tracks together was impossible in the early ones.  Playing everything to a click track helped hugely. 

All stuff that I'd been meaning to do for years, but never had the nudge to get on and do it.

And thanks @koendb for the kind comments last night too.

I shudder when I look back at some of my early contributions.  But, if I hadn't done those, then I wouldn't be doing these - improved - versions today.  Bliss kicked me off on the journey, and I'm aiming to continue it.  I'm half-hoping that I'll shudder again in a few months time when I look back at today.

Currently disappearing down the mixing rabbit hole.  So much to understand, so much to learn, so much to practice.  All great fun!
