OK.

I've sent a "begging" (well almost but at the very least subscribe to Mark's YouTube) email to Matt at Monty's Pickups asking if he'd consider donating some "hardware".

Let's see.

Cheers all.

@boo

Im just picking up on this thread and would be happy to make a donation if you need to purchase parts

Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.

Just a wee thought Peeps. Mark has some parts for sale in the shop. @boo if you thought any of the parts were suitable we could contribute to buying some of them for the guitar 🎸.

🎸🎶🙂🙏

Thinking out loud @Boo (and bearing in mind our separate conv), how much interest do you think that body would generate if Mark had it displayed on the wall behind him in the livestreams?Β  Particularly if it were positioned just where the lights could catch it?

@tv101 Yeah, quite a bit, maybe? Not sure but I’ll be sending it to him as soon as it’s at an acceptable standard. I’m excited for M&C to see it in the flesh, there really is no other way to fully experience the full effect of it, cameras just cannot pick everything up. I was tempted to send it round the houses before it going to M&C but it’s too long winded, I want it there ASAP. I was going to send it to you, then you send it to @deej, who sends it to @darrenking, who would then send it to M&C (anyone else in between too). That way everyone gets to see what they are contributing to and get the full experience of the paint. I’ll be doing a lot more so I can send a few things out to you all to have a look at. I’ll be testing a lot of special effects paint this year.Β

But yeah, good idea and I’m sure it will look good behind Mark’s cameras, I just hope it doesn’t get knocked off the worktop. 😳🤣

I would love to see it in the flesh @boo but would hate all the risk of postage damaging such a great piece...if it’s packed well it should be ok though?

@deej It will be fine, I always over engineer everything, including the packaging, you’ll see. 😂Β

It will only be the body so it’s much easier and cheaper to send. I have a shed load of packaging, literally. I like save packaging from any deliveries I get and reuse it. 👍

You too are close enough to meet up rather than trusting the postal / courier services ...

Happy to drive to yours @boo to save postage - I’ll stand at the end of the drive if needs be (had my first Jab though 🤣).Β

Having a drive may help my mental well-beingΒ

What are the lockdown rules at the moment,

Basically: step outside your boundary and snipers will cut you down whilst the rozzers loot your house.

Except if you're bezzy mates with the council/political leaders. Or live on the South Coast of England, drive a big posh car and have a moat with a "duck-house" Island in the middle. Or you're employed on the HS2 project because we couldn't possibly delay the mass destruction of ancient landscapes and communities for the bargain cost of >Β£100Bn to speed up a journey to Birmingham by 10mins when everyone will now be working a great deal more from home and/or do tele/video-conferencing thus significantly impacting the business case (but again, bezzy mates getting construction contracts which must be fulfilled)...

Sorry, wrong forum. Ignore the #soapbox #rant above.

Wait until Monday, find a "yoof" mannequin and dress it up in a school uniform. Put it on the back seat and go out pretending to be on the sKool run!

Is it wrong to move house just to have a garage so I can build a bench and use a router?

Looking at a house on Monday with not one but TWO garages!

One for workshop/kidding myself into thinking that I can fix things! And the other as a big "Man Drawer" - you know, that one place that has something for any eventuallity and the "man" knows exactly where it is despite never taking it out of the packet 40 years ago.

It's also got some other rooms and stuff but there be soft furnishings in them.

Oh, and it's standard staggering distance from a pub selling good food and Timmy Taylor.

What's not to love!?

Just need to get a contract/job, little things like that.

What's not to love!?

Is it near enough to Ayr @rashdown_online???

When we moved to Suffolk (where we lived for ~20yrs), *my* criteria included "a pub in the village" (my wife's didn't!).Β  Now, I accept that, in 99% of English villages, the old pub is now an executive-style home, which narrowed down or choice slightly.Β

But there was no pub in the village.

🤔

Β

Now we've moved to Norfolk, there's not even a village ...

No non-essential trips allowed.

Β

But, as previously proven, it's essential that you drive to check your vision.

No non-essential trips allowed.

I had an essential journey to trade an Eastman for an SG in a Morrisons car park.
