@boo @tyreman @robin @russ @koendb. Thanks for the moral support guys. I'm just glad this one is starting to shape up. For a while I was thinking it was just not meant to be. Now I can't wait to start putting finish on it. And the wife has already told me to start looking for the material for the next build. She's too good to me. 🙂
The build is coming along. I've got it into the finishing stage. I'm glad I stuck with this build. The amount I have learned is unreal and it is looking really nice. Here are more progress pics.
Well. After spraying all the top coats and letting it sit for a few weeks to gas off.... I'm ready to start wet sanding and attempting a glossy finish. Or at least as good as I can do with the tools that I have. I started with the back and decided to bring the back up to a decent shine just so I know I can do it. I think it looks pretty darn good and now can't wait to finish the rest of the guitar.
You can already see the paper towel roll and the tools on the wall in the shine. So cool. If I keep this up I'm going to put an stand buffer on my "tools to get" list. 🙂
