@mattbeels Its a 450mm carbon fiber rod. It soans from the 2nd fret all the way to the 22nd fret. Good coverage for warping prevention. Choose to make this a 24 fret bass with a skinny 19mm-22mm thickness at 5 1/2 mm thick fretboard per rhe clients request. Hence the carbon fiber rod was necessary for it is also a Koa neck per the clients preference. Koa is not per say best suited for bass necks. I did however lamainated it with purpleheart and honduran mahogany in the middle making it stiffer.

@clinton Yes! I love it, your best yet. Absolutely stunning work. In my opinion, you are the best guitar builder on this forum and in this school. Iโve got a lot to do this year in terms of moving house and country but when Iโve done that, I need to up my game. I need to concentrate more on my quality of build instead of just paintwork, Iโve been a bit obsessed with paints recently, I need to get back to woods and construction quality.ย
As always Clinton, you inspire me.ย
Sending peace and love your way. ✊

@markbailey Thank you. It was an awesome journey this one. A lot first attempts.ย
@koendb Thanks. It was my first attempt on a neck through. Koa body and neck with figured Maple top. Purpleheart laminates and ย fretboard. It features an awesome Bartolini 18 volt electronics with push pull volume knob for passive/active option. A blend, bass, mid, treble knobs. Also a 3 way switch for frequency registers. Came with Curtis Novack wound Pick Ups. A classic jazz bass pick up on the bridge and a Bisonic mudbucker style pick up on the neck. What a delightful sounding pair of pick ups.
