Looking good @boo  Do you buy your fretwire pre rolled and where do you buy it from. I'm planning build #003 now while waiting for lacquer to harden.

@robin Thanks Robin. Yes I normally buy it in coils rather than in straight lengths (although I do buy straight lengths sometimes). One good place I get it from is Tone Tech.

@russ I’ve normally got about 3 or 4 builds on the go at the same time. I have 4 at the moment, including a cigar box guitar build. Oh I’ve got that bass to finish off too. I have more planned too. Love it. 🤘😜🤘🎸

Thanks for that, I'll have a look. I bought my last lot from Northwest Guitars and it came in 250mm straight lengths.

@robin It’s cheaper to buy in straight lengths but it’s easier in coils, it’s ready to use. Just cut to length for each fret slot and install. Done. 👍

Installed the medium jumbo frets into this build. I’ll keep the jumbo ones for mine.

Time for a bit of CA glue and accelerator, as well as keeping a bottle of solvent handy (with lid removed), just in case.

@russ I think once you get going, you will have many guitar builds coming nicely along. There’s no better feeling Russ. Apart from maybe……. a few things but not much…… 🤘😜🤘🎸

@mattbeels I love this EVO Gold fret wire. It’s great to work with and it looks great when polished up, as well as the colour. It’s becoming my goto wire, in fact I’ve just bought some more.
