It's been a hot minute since I had chance to do any work on this but I took Friday off and really went for it. There's a lot of clean up due to some router slip ups but it's not total carnage and I'm really pleased with how it's going.

The volume looks ok to me it’s far enough away from the 1st fret not to interfere with playing.

I can't ever blame the volute for my playing being so bad....
The volute on my Firebird build is quite big but doesn't get in the way for some reason.... The neck is also quite big - a couple of mm deeper than Mark's specified goal but again it feels OK....

@cheesewhisk this looks amazing. Love the Explorer shape. Gives you more problems with its oversize tail, but totally worth it.
