Agree about Bill Nelson – wonderful stuff!

Run tests on your offcuts.  My Firebird is only oiled but the Maple looks brilliant – looked ordinary before the oil.

Any crack lines under the change of angle?  Might be worth slackening the strings?

That one was new (other) – a few second hand at the moment – I have two of them that were £30-40 and are fine – usual thing, set your limit and wait for one at or under that………

I’ve got a track saw – only the Titan one from Screwfix but it does cut a straight edge – can get 1.2m if I am careful……

I use one edge of the sheet of MDF for one side and then a strip of sticky 80 grit on a flat piece of MDF and rub the other edge to get it straight and flat….
