I used a Rickenbacker shape but the other way round on my first home build – quite a bit of sound comes out of the hole….

Also a simple shape to cut….

I’ve got two Hiscox cases – they are very good and not too heavy – happy to bung a guitar in a case and then put in the boot or on the back seat of the car…..
 

Re-fretting necks…….

They are serviceable – only brushes and possibly bearings would wear out…..
