@liebe I was concerned about slot depth, slots being clean, getting to much glue on and it choking the slots etc etc lol
Might try the acetone next time. Supposed to work well and of course it doesn’t fill the slots

Well it’s taken a while but the finish is done at least. I’ll get it all assembled in the next day or two. Thanks to this forum I found an old post about using osmo poly x which helped great!
 

Frets are in and side dots done, next up will be sorting the headstock and carving the neck.
 

@liebe I got one of those hosco fret slot cleaning saws, seems to work ok

@wolframmalukker sounds like you need to clear some space, I’d try and just focus on one, get it over the finish line then the next and so on. I find it can get to stressful spreading yourself to thin.  …   Read more»

While the finishing of the bass takes ages due to the weather I decided to get on with the tele build. I’ve roughed out the neck and today was radiusing the board and doing fret markers.
