Osmo poly x is superb for a wipe on finish, that’s my goto these days. I’ll often used thinned down polyurathane though on mahogany etc, sanded in to help fill grain and also add a nice tint.

I got mine out of aldi years ago, still going strong. Came with the snake attachment too which helps when I drill those ferrules off centre lol I try and use a nice small bit to do pilot holes… Read more»

Hey @Boo while I remember, got these from tool station, pretty cheap but can be pretty handy. There’s a little dremmel sized one in the kit too.

@boo Welcome. Usually with gibson scale I measure 630mm for scale line which is slightly longer, seems to work great.

@boo my ggbo build, the black limba neck through with binding etc. That’s a 24.75 scale with floyd, works perfect. A lot of companies have been doing it for years. Post hole centres sit a 1/2 inch forward of scale… Read more»

I’ve ruined a couple of bodies, a couple of necks and an almost finished build! But, I’ve learnt to get over stuff pretty quick these days and just get on with it lol.

@steveh Trussrod fully tight and still bowing forward? You could try adding a bit of physical pressure to pull the neck back and see if the trussrod will turn more. Or, you could somehow pull down at both… Read more»
